While not containing any real pepper notes, after the top notes dissipate Ventana has some kind of phantom pepper note that develops, which is quite interesting. Also i think that Ventana has very similar performance to current baches of both Sauvage EDT and EDP, not worse. Smells great, nearly identical to Sauvage after the first few minutes (bit of a (not terrible) synthetic cirtus smell in the opening), but terrible performance :( I wanted to love this, and upon first spray it smells wonderful (applied like 10-15 sprays and it wasn't even that intense), but unfortunately I stopped smelling it completely after an hour or two, except when having my nose right up to my shirt or skin.

Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations. Is not a huge deal but is too bad the bottle is so ugly, it would take a whole team brainstorming to come up with a bottle design worse than this one, you can't see how much juice is left inside, it looks ugly and is all plastic.It's a good day off/casual scent and yes I reckon you could use it in similar ways to sauvage as a anytime fragrance and it won't upset too many people. It contains notes of grapefruit, lemon, mandarin orange, geranium, lavender, patchouli, vetiver, cedar, amber and precious woods.

If you're looking for a more fresh and mature scent, tho, this isn't it, it's too synthetic and sweet for that. You might not want to use a fragrance in beast mode all day and might want to change to something else to fit the next event of the day.In my skin, it lasts around 8 hours, the first hour projecting good, then it starts to get more personal. Both have the same mass appeal blue fragrance vibe but Ventana does it with more elegance than the DS EDT. I blind bought it and I am glad I did, if you like Sauvage just go for it, is ridiculous how close this is. Top notes are grapefruit, lemon and mandarin orange; middle notes are geranium, lavender, patchouli and vetiver; base notes are cedar, amber and precious woods. This cologne comes in a black rectangular bottle with thin silver-colored stripes, packaged in a box with a design to match.
